READING
Now that our reading programme is in full swing, could you
please ensure that the children have a reading log. These can be purchased from the office for
$4.50.
LUNCHES
AND SNACKS
We have noticed quite a few children with nuts and eggs in
their lunch boxes. Raw nuts, spreads in
sandwiches or muesli bars should not be at school. We have a couple of children with egg and nut
allergies. Please try and find
alternatives for these.
BELONGINGS
CAN ALL CLOTHING PLEASE BE NAMED CLEARLY. We try hard to return misplaced items but it
is faster and easier to return them if labelled clearly. ALL children MUST be wearing a hat for T1, no
caps allowed.
BLOG
Check it out. It
has our learning, notices and upcoming events, along with useful websites… Please have a browse and send us some
feedback. The kids love it when comments
about their work come in.
LITERACY
We know that finding time to work with your kids after a
long day can be a chore. After 10 weeks
at school we expect they will be able to read 10-20 words. This is only possible with a home school
partnership. If you need hints and help
at home please ask!
FAREWELL
We will be farewelling some of our children at the end of
the term, as they move through to Pod 2 (Room 5). We will miss them greatly and have been very
proud of their achievements at this early age.
The children who are moving will receive a letter on Monday.
SCHOOL
ENTRY MEETINGS
We will be meeting with all new parents next week (Tuesday
and Thursday), your child should have a notice in their kiwipack with times.
